Grupo Planeta leads the publishing market in Spain and Latin America and is one of the biggest publishing groups in the world. It has more than 70 publishing imprints in several countries, covering works of fiction, nonfiction, children and young people’s literature, and comics. Each year, it publishes more than 2500 new titles in paper and digital format in Spanish, Catalan, and Portuguese, by classical and contemporary authors Grupo Planeta is also leader in publishing in Catalan, through Grup 62, and is a benchmark in the publication of works for collectors.

Since the beginning of the 21st century, Grupo Planeta has achieved consolidation in new areas of business to become one of Spain’s leading media groups. It is a reference shareholder in the newspaper La Razón and in ATRESMEDIA, which comprises the television channels Antena 3, laSexta, Neox, Nova, Mega and ATRESERIES; the radio stations Onda Cero, Europa FM and Melodía FM; film and television production; online television and film websites and multimedia advertising management (on television, radio and the internet). Through these channels it also promotes awareness-raising campaigns relating to road safety, the environment and health. Furthermore, Prisma Publicaciones produces specialised magazines and offers print and digital publishing services for businesses and institutions.

Grupo Planeta, through its Planeta Formación y Universidades division, is a major benchmark in higher education and in vocational and ongoing education, where it is carrying forward an ambitious educational program. It has a large network of educational institutions in Spain, France, Italy, Colombia, North Africa, Andorra, and the United States. Every year, more than 100,000 students of 114 different nationalities are educated in its business schools, universities, specialist schools and vocational and ongoing training centers, through more than 500 programs. The close collaboration with businesses allows for permanent adaptation of its programs to the new needs of the labor market. Professionals are trained at all levels of higher education at its educational institutions in in-person, blended and online formats.
